This is our family's sixth year on B.E.S.T.. We have two children on the team and we love being part of the Barracudas! My swimming roots go far back but mostly local; I did rec swimming from 11-18 yo (plus club, HS, and JC water polo/swim) and coached rec swimming for a few years in early college.
Our swim team board is dedicated to keep building our Barracuda team and making our swim summers the best they can be for our swimmers and families. If you have ANY questions, concerns or ideas please chat with me!
Our family’s swim roots go back to 2012 when our daughters first began swimming for Bishop. We rejoined the community when our son joined the team in 2021. Overall, this will be our 11th season being a part of the B.E.S.T. swim family! During home meets you can find me on deck behind the (data) scenes, stop by and say hi!
Our family joined BEST in 2022, and this will be the 5th season for my four daughters (Emma – 17, Elli – 15, Vanessa – 12, Alyssa – 9). This is my 3rd season as Meet Director.
As a teenager, I was a lifeguard, so joining BEST felt like a perfect way for my kids to stay active, enjoy the outdoors, and have fun during the summer. It’s been wonderful to see my older daughters get involved in coaching and serve as positive role models for the younger swimmers. From the start, we loved how welcoming the team was, and we continue to stay because of the family-friendly atmosphere and the perfect balance between competitive meets and fun team events. BEST truly feels like home for us.
Hello BEST Friends-
My family and I moved into Bishop Estates in 2016. In 2019 we made our stay permanent after seeing what a great community we stumbled across. I have always enjoyed the people here and helping out our neighborhood. I have 2 kids in swim team and see myself being a part of BEST for many years to come. I am pleased to be your Treasurer for this Board. I see this coming year to be a fun and exciting time. Swim Fast!
I grew up in Bishop Estates and my sisters and I swam on the Bishop Estates Swim Team from age 4-18. I feel like I had the best summers growing up going to swim practice and hanging out with my friends at swim meets and team events. I wanted the same for my son, too. My husband and I moved into Bishop Estates in 2016 and this will be my son's fourth year on the team. He loves it and I feel like I'm reliving my childhood! GO BEST!
Hello! This is our third year with BEST, and we couldn’t be more excited! After having so much fun the past two summers, we’re back again and ready to bring even more SPIRIT, smiles, and poolside energy! We’re looking forward to another amazing summer full of cheering, splashing, and making great memories. We have a 7 year old who’s ready to dive in, and a potential Mini Cuda. You’ll probably see us around the pool, cruising the neighborhood, or cheering a little too loudly from the sidelines. We can’t wait to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new BEST families—here’s to the best summer yet!
Our family moved to Bishop Estates in 2018, and this will be our girls third year swimming with BEST. I grew up just a short distance from here and swam every summer with my local team, so it makes me so happy that both of my daughters have developed a love for swimming just like I did. We’ve had a fantastic experience with the BEST and can't wait for many more years to come. I love being able to contribute time and energy to our program, making sure all our pool gear and equipment stays in great shape. GO BEST!
Hi everyone...this is our families 4th year with The Cudas. Our two boys, Andrew (13) and Zachary (11) enjoy being around the other kids This will be Andrew's first year as a helper with mini-cudas. Zachary is looking forward to helping when he's old enough too. My wife Julie participated on the BOD previous years and has passed the torch. I've been around the Pool and water my entire life. I swam on recreational teams for years before becoming a Lifeguard in Boy Scouts then swimming and playing water polo for 4 yrs in HS. I taught swim lessons in all age groups and continued being a Lifeguard for the City of Antioch. Our Family loves being around the water whether at swim meets or just splashing around at The Cabana Club. Hope to meet you all and see you on the deck.
